Production Team

Writer/Director, Joseph Elmore began his writing career in the music business as a producer and director of music videos. That path soon led him to screenwriting his first award winning feature film script, Water‘s Rising. Principal photography was completed in December, 2005 and was released on DVD in April, 2007. His next writing & directing effort was the romantic comedy Speed Dating which was a limited theatrical release with Chico Benymon (Half & Half, Ali, The Fantasia Burrino Story),Chris Elliot, (There’s Something About Mary, Nutty Professor II: The Klumps), Clint Howard (Night at the Museum, Frost/Nixon, & Halloween) , and Holly Robinson ( 21Jump Street, Love Inc, Matter of Life and Dating) featured. Speed Dating won the 2010 audience choice award in the Pan African Film Festival.

Producer, Theta Catalon began her film career as an actress. That path soon led her to writing, directing and producing her own short film “Academic Affairs”; which was NOMINATED for Best Domestic Short at the 7th Annual 2009 Queens International Film Festival in New York. Her acting & filmmaking career thus far includes work in several short films, commercials, webisodes, music videos and three feature films.  She holds two academic degrees including a B.S. in Psychology from Excelsior College, as well as a MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is currently pursuing a B.A. in Digital Film & Video Production from The Art Institute of Houston.

Producer/Actress/Writer, Tonyai Palmer is the founder of iBELIEVE ENTERPRISES (iBE), a Houston, Texas based firm. Since its inception in late 2011 as a full-service production company, iBE has produced/co-produced a feature film, short film, stage play, publishing company & a webisode series. Some of her professional works as a thespian include 7 stage plays, 3 short films, 2 commercial marketing promotions, a feature film, & a webisode series. Being a USAF Veteran, Tonyai shares a special bond with our service professionals & teamed up with Lackland AFB to create a documentary titled Freedom Ain’t Free. She matriculates at DeVry University & Christian Biblical Institute & Seminary (CBIS) and is presently pursuing her advanced degrees in Counseling & Entrepreneurship.

Producer/Director of Photography, Barry Strickland:
Barry Strickland has been in the entertainment industry for over 15 years. With a background in theater & concert lighting & over a decade of experience in the television and motion picture industry, Barry has helped shape the look of productions widely ranging from Corporate, Industrial & Commercial videos, to independent and theatrical release Documentaries & Feature-Films.

Barry has developed a unique sense of camera movement and shaping light from both his feature work & the literally hundreds of music videos he has done over the years. Barry was a key player, serving as Gaffer or Lighting Designer on nearly all of the major release Swisha House music videos that helped make the Warner Brothers hip-hop sub-label a brand.

In 2005, Barry co-founded Axiom Production Services (APS) to help facilitate the growing needs of his Music Video and Feature Film clientele.

Barry has served as Director of Photography on several Feature Films (all of which have received distribution), and as Gaffer on dozens more.  "Because I Love You", on which he also served as Director of Photography, is Barry's first official foray into producing a feature film.
